When a child looks at a specific object repeatedly, it forms a firm and long-lasting image in her mind. This objects may be image and a word. This memorizing phenomenon is called ‘Photo Memory’, and the strategy for using photo memory is referred as “Sight Reading”. It is also called ‘Whole Word’ reading and ‘Look and Say’ method.
Sight reading strategy benefits the child’s memory, comprehension who is under the age of 7. Teachers can teach alphabets, vocabulary and sentence reading through this technique.
